Palmer Bros Overall Supply and Cleaning Service commenced in February 1947 after brothers Arthur and Jack purchased the business which had been established during World War 2 to provide a service to American soldiers in Ballarat. The business soon developed into a specialist workwear laundry supplying outstanding service to Ballarat industry. The reputation that was created by the Palmer Bros is the cornerstone of the business today.
Arthur and Jack sold the business in 1985. The current owners Jim and Andrea Bell bought the business on 15th October 1996 with the firm intent of developing its potential and retaining a focus on all aspects of workwear and related products.
...Palmer Bros now offers the following range of services:
1. Laundry of overalls, shirts, trousers, jumpers, dust coats, jackets, mats, filter bags, roll towels and aprons. In short, anything related to workwear or industrial cleaning.

2. Lease a complete range of workwear made in Melbourne, by an ISO 9002 accredited company. We can have an exclusive design made to reflect a particular corporate image. The minimum quantity on any special order is fifty.

3. Sell a complete range of new and second hand workwear made by Australia's leading workwear manufacturers. Wholesale is our specialty.
4. Lease Australian made rubber back synthetic pile mats in various sizes which are laundered weekly. A no obligation free trial for two weeks is available if required. We can arrange to have mats made featuring a customer's own design or logo.
5. Lease Roll Towel Cabinets for drying hands. The cabinet is fastened to a wall near a wash basin and contains a towel approximately forty metres long and avoids the mess, cost and waste associated with paper towels. It is also far more efficient and hygienic than hot air dryers. A no obligation free trial for two weeks is available if required.

6. Free pickup, delivery and machine sewn repair service is provided. All items passing through the laundry are inspected for repair.

7. During the thirty-eight years of ownership by the Palmer Bros a unique drying process was developed to minimise shrinkage in natural fibres. Palmer Bros is the only known laundry still using this process today.

8. Embroidery can be arranged and is charged "at cost".
